Although part of me wants to hoard them all for myself, please indulge me in hyping up this unbelievable team, because every writer I know would be beyond blessed to work with these folks. THEATRE FRIENDS: HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!! (CONTINUED IN THE COMMENTS!)

@jslaght (director extraordinaire) will see straight through to the core of your work and summon that core to the surface, will translate your blubbering into actionable direction, and will make sure you’re heard through every second of the process.

@jeremyjacobs24 (prolific MD) will figure out exactly what you intended (but incorrectly transcribed) for every inch of your score, will bring what I can only describe as a level of musical dramaturgy to your piece which will challenge and expand it, will support each actor as if he’s known them forever, and will play your score brilliantly.

@sarahdaceycharles will elevate every piece of material she touches, will learn three versions of your show’s ending and will add invaluable insight into each one, will add warmth to what’s clinical, will add depth to what’s flat, and will breathe so much genuine, complicated life into a character that you forget she doesn’t actually have a PHD herself.

@stefanyourface will dig so far into your piece that he knows it better than you do, will make the simplest moments gut wrenching and the most convoluted moments human, will sing so effortlessly beautifully that the fact that you don’t know how to write for tenors will be completely irrelevant, and if you’re lucky, will be your best friend, partner, and the person you want to go on every adventure with.

@_hannahhakim I’m pretty sure cannot tell a goddamn lie. She will bring endless honesty, clarity, and HEART to every word she speaks and every note she sings, will take direction like “can you be more ghostly” as if that’s a normal thing to ask someone, will make the most awkward string of notes sound like the easiest breath of air, and will make me cry every damn time she performs my work.
